I’m a 33-year-old mother of two beautiful boys, Damien, who is 7-years-old, and 11-year-old Azriel. I’ve been a part of the gothic subculture since high school. I love the music, the art, and the style of dress. I don’t get to go out to the clubs like I use to, but I’m more than content with my life as a mom. We enjoy our little dark haven here in Kane, Pennsylvania, and I wouldn’t trade it for a date with Rozz Williams himself.
My question deals with the backlash I’ve received because of how I choose to dress my two boys, and the constant pressure from the local school system to conform.
Beautiful Yulin City In China’s Guangxi Province Where The Dog Meat Festivals Are Held Every Year
(Yulin, China) – The National Report has sent me on location to the Annual Yulin Dog Meat Festival in China’s Guangxi province, to take in the sights and sounds and to discover for myself what the all hubbub was about surrounding this rich cultural event.
As I made my way through the bustling crowd and racks of cages crammed with frightened dogs, I could smell the intoxicating aromas of the food being prepared by jovial street vendors. I observed locals and tourists alike digging into some of these hearty dishes and decided to get their take on what drew them to the this barbaric yet mouth-watering jubilee.
Jane, I’m a woman in her mid-30s who still attends weekly goth nights at some of the bars in my area. Recently I’ve started to notice a much younger crowd at the clubs I frequent. More and more I find that I have absolutely nothing in common with this new generation of kids. I have a house, a career, responsibilities. I’m not the same person I was way back when. I don’t even dress in all the black clothes and fishnet anymore.
These observations have left me with a bitter taste in my mouth and I’ve begun to wonder: Am I too old to be going out to clubs? I mean, is that chapter of my life over now that I’m well into my 30s? Is there a point where you can become “too old” for the goth club?
Jeffrey Dahmer was an innocent child when he took the life of his first victim; A bright-eyed doe, shot while hunting with his father. It was during these weekend trips that appalling acts of animal cruelty were committed, warping his young psyche to the point of no return. The seeds of ruthlessness which were planted on these bloodthirsty excursions would eventually kindle a desire within the young Dahmer to murder human beings. The result was a lust for sadism that went on to claim the lives of 17 men between the years of 1978 to 1991.
(Portland, Oregon) – The City of Roses has issued a water boil alert after three consecutive drinking water samples were found to contain heavy traces of E.Coli and other bacteria. On Thursday the Portland Water Bureau issued the following warning via their official website:
“Until further notice, all Portland Water Bureau customers and those in the affected areas should boil all tap water used for drinking, food preparation, tooth brushing and ice for at least one minute. Ice or any beverages prepared with un-boiled tap water on or after May 20 should be discarded. Detailed maps, fact sheets and additional information can be found at the links below or by calling Customer Service at 503-823-7770. ”
After 9/11 (never forget) many aspects of the American way of life were effected by drastic changes. Not only did we lose hundreds of our brothers and sisters on that tragic day, we also lost a considerable amount of privacy and freedom. One area in which this is most evident is our airports and their increased scrutiny of passengers.
Long gone are the days of comfortable, hassle-free flights. Now we are forced to contend with the ugly, assumptive sneers of deviant TSA agents. They are savage, brainless thugs, given authority which far exceeds their experience, intelligence and tax bracket.
These feeble-minded, cretinous schlubs whose sub-par IQ’s and doughy physiques wouldn’t allow them to become cops, are now essentially allowed to run rampant upon travelers at their own leisure. They spend their days debasing the general public, while barely providing any relevant service for which their positions were designed.
I find it amazing that even after nonstop allegations of abuse at the hands of TSA agents, people still insist on using airlines as their primary means of long-distance travel. Each day, millions of Americans willingly subject themselves to what would be seen in a sane society as sexual assault.
